Easy PCR for travel

I ordered a Fit to Fly PCR test for my trip last month. It was pretty straightforward to do the swab at home and mail it back. Got my results and certificate via email in about 24 hours, which was good because I was stressing a bit about the flight. Price was decent compared to some other places I checked out. Overall, made my travel prep way less of a headache.

Home test kit worked

Bought a home test kit. Instructions were clear. Results came fast, no issues. It was what I needed.

Quick antigen test, slight delay

I needed a rapid antigen test for a quick weekend trip. The ordering process online was very smooth, and I got my confirmation email right away. The kit itself arrived in 3 days, which was fine, but I was hoping for a bit faster delivery since it was a 'rapid' test. The test was easy to use, and uploading the results was simple. My travel certificate came within an hour after I submitted everything. Good value for what I paid, just wish shipping was a touch quicker.

do they ever do deals for families? need a few tests for me and the kids for our summer trip.

S Shane S. 3 weeks ago
I got a family package deal around Easter last year, saved a bit. Keep an eye out closer to summer, they often do 'seasonal travel offers'.

Pretty sure I saw a group booking discount option when I was ordering for my work trip. Worth checking their site or signing up for their emails, sometimes they send out codes.

My discount code isn't working at checkout, any ideas why? It's for a group booking.

D Dana F. 3 weeks ago
Sometimes codes are really specific, like only for certain types of tests or minimum order values. Did you check the terms for your code?

Could be an expiry date? Or maybe it's only for bulk purchases, not just a few tests. I had one not work once and it turned out it was for a different test entirely.

Thinking of using Rapid Testing for a PCR test, but also looking at ExpressTest. Any big differences or reasons to pick one over the other?

M Mark 1 month ago
I've used both. Rapid Testing was a bit cheaper for me at the time, and results came back within their stated timeframe. ExpressTest felt a little more 'premium' maybe, but results were similar.

ExpressTest can be good if you need really rapid results, but Rapid Testing is usually fine. Just compare prices and turnaround times for your specific needs.

Anyone ordered a home test kit from them to like, Florida? Wondering about delivery times.

N Neil Y. 1 month ago
Ordered one to Miami a few months back. Took about 4-5 business days to get to me. Not super fast, but not terrible.

mine came pretty quick to NYC, like 3 days. might depend on where in FL and what shipping option you pick if there is one.

Can I get a refund if my travel plans change last minute and I don't need the test kit anymore?

J James Z. 3 weeks ago
Pretty sure their refund policy is fairly strict, especially once kits are dispatched. I'd check their exact wording on their site.

C Chris Carter 3 weeks ago
I had to cancel an appointment once, and it was fine. For home kits, if it hasn't shipped, you might be okay. If it has, probably not.

Is Rapid Testing actually legit for international travel? My friend said some places are super strict about which providers they accept.

S Sophie Z. 1 month ago
They're a government-approved provider in the UK, so generally yes. I've used them for travel to Europe and the US without a hitch.

G Gwen 4 weeks ago
yeah, they're UKAS accredited too which is a good sign for legitimacy. always check your destination's specific rules though, some countries are just wild with their requirements.

hey, anyone know if their fit to fly certificates are usually accepted everywhere? planning a trip to japan and china later this year.

L Laura F. 1 month ago
Yeah, I used them for a trip to Canada last summer and had no issues. My airline (Air Canada) was fine with it, and customs didn't even blink.

Most airlines accept them, but it's always a good idea to double-check with your specific airline and destination's entry requirements. Rules change so fast, you know?

how long does it typically take to get PCR results back from them?

R Ryan 4 weeks ago
They say results are usually within 24-48 hours, and that's been my experience. Got mine for a 'fit to fly' in about 30 hours.

M Mark 3 weeks ago
Mine was surprisingly fast, like less than 24 hours. But I think I picked an 'express' option, so mileage may vary.
